The studio
HD Studio is a team of young, professional, passionate creatives leading and shaping architecture in Guyana.
HD Studio represents the design arm of the HDEA (Home Designs & Engineering Associates) group of companies, established in 1997 by Dwayne Ferdinand. The studio was originally set up as a function of the parent company, to serve the design-build needs of its construction clientele.
That exposed our design quality to Guyana, creating and satisfying a demand for unique, modern, innovative architectural structures typically lacking in the country. HD Studio has since grown through our leader, Renauto Ferdinand — a passionate young architect with demonstrably bold ideas — to serve every sector of architecture in Guyana.
The key to our design success lies in our focus on the philosophy that less is more, allowing the raw essence of an architectural idea to be expressed in a pure, often minimalist form. This has led to the creation of a plethora of projects that are identifiably alien to Guyana while maintaining strong roots in its rich cultural identity.
